Core Training in ISTDP
Overview
The three-year Core Training in ISTDP consists of 4 x three-day blocks per year for three years (12 blocks in total) and participation in monthly Zoom group supervision sessions (10 sessions per year).
Over the three years, the application of ISTDP across the spectrum of psychopathology is covered; from neurotic to fragile character structure.
Each three-day block of training covers a particular component of ISTDP, and readings and additional training materials and tasks will be assigned for each block of training.
Eligibility Criteria
1. A currently registered mental health professional at all times during enrolment in the Core Training
2. The capacity to video record therapy sessions with at least three adult or older adolescent patients (help is provided in implementing the process of videoing patients with their informed consent)
3. The capacity to make a three-year commitment to the training
